Earlier this week, I resigned from a Chief Marketing Officer role after only 5 weeks. Resigning from a role, with no immediate job to go to, as the world slumps into a recession is a bold move. The reason I made the decision is not only personal to me, but irrelevant to this post. However, I’ve reflected on it with some pride, as it’s not a decision I would have had the confidence to make a few years’ ago.

It’s only through having cultivated a deep understanding of myself that I am aware of the right environment for me, where I can deliver my best work. I know what I need for my mental and physical health to be in peak form, and I know that I am at my best when I choose to prioritise this.

In the short term, I plan to finish my ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, which, as a Masters level qualification, will have taken me just under two years to complete.

Beyond that, I remain very clear on what I want from my next challenge, whether that’s a permanent role or more consulting.

I’m available from May and I’m also able to offer a few executive coaching slots immediately. Please contact me if you would like to talk…
